The Baseball Power Class For Pitchers and Position Players
The Combination of Velocity, Arm Health, and Command Training.
Xander Rojahn Throws 90mph on the mound as a sophomore
We Focus on Explosive Strength/Quickness/Power/Speed
Pitchers - Catchers - Infielders - Outfielders All Need Rocket Arms
Throwing Velocity - Throwing Precision
Arm Health - Recovery - Durability

The Fastball USA System is truly one of the most unique throwing programs combined with baseball specific explosive strength and conditioning.

The throwing program has led to over 100 of our students throwing the baseball over 90mph and 2 of our students have even reached 100mph.

The system is used for both position players and pitchers.   Regardless of what position you play the Fastball system will help you develop greater velocity, greater precision, and build a stronger, healthier arm.

At Fastball USA We are distinctly different:

1.  We focus on eliminating pain, fatigue, and discomfort first

2.  We focus on throwing with athleticism, drawing out the natuaral way of throwing staying away from mechanical and robotic.

3.  We focus on the intent to throw hard combined with command.  We don't slow down to throw the ball with command sacraficing velocity.  Intead we develop high level command and precision while throwing faster.

4.   We train exclusively inside the ATP-CP system.  We don't do long distance running, long duration training, and spend time doing non specific baseball training.   High Energy, Baseball Specific, explosive training.

Drafted By The KC Royals - Fastball USA Prepared Him For Pro Ball
Hey Mike,

Just wanted to let you know that we do nearly all the same arm care here as we did at Fastball USA. We do numerous variations of all of the arm care on an everyday basis, and also we do ALOT of the flexibiltiy and pre workout warmups that we did at fastball. Fastball USA pretty much prepared me for pro ball, and currently I have over 100 innings on my arm this year, and I have to thank you for teaching me the importance of arm care. In the past, my arm would usually be in pain around this time of year, and I would be experiencing "dead arm". But currently my velocity is still sitting in the 90-93 range and topping around 95mph. Once again, I just wanted to thank you for everything, and please continue to stress the importance of arm care, flexibiltiy, and good old fashioned hard work to the rest of the guys.

Thanks,
Mike Giovenco

Drafted in the 9th Round By The Chicago White Sox. Ryan Hinchley went from 82mph to 90mph in high school while training with our Black Belt program.

The Now Chicago White Sox Organization Pitcher describes his experience in this article -

"I trained over the winter at Fastball USA in Schaumburg.  You do a lot of agility, core, strength and arm care work there.  I had a big spike in my speed.   I was throwing 82mph last summer and then I got up to 90mph by winter.   It was absolutely amazing when it happened."

Fighting against the common myths about throwing a baseball. While these pitchers look like they are short arming the ball they are actually very connected.
Profiled in Sports Illustrated and ESPN Magazine- Ron Wolforth Of The Texas Baseball Ranch Has This To Say About Mike Ryan and the Fastball USA staff.
Flint Wallace, Mike Ryan, Ron Wolforth, Jon Massey at the January 2015 Camp.
I have known Mike Ryan and his family for more than 10 years now and for 8 of those years I have conducted two pitching clinics per year in their facility. Mike, Shelley, Steve, Paddy and the entire Fastball family is a truly remarkable team. They have taken Ranch concepts and applied it in their own unique way.

They are not only caring, compassionate teachers and innovators, more importantly, they are simply wonderful, honest, sincere people. I consider Fastball USA as an extension of me and our baseball Ranch in Texas. I have a special place in my heart for the Ryans and all the athletes that train at Fastball.

I truly look forward to my visits every year and to see how Mike has applied my pitching concepts to his passion which is hitting. If you get the opportunity to train with Mike and Steve, I could no more highly recommend it.

We develop Arm Strength For Pitchers and Position Players With Guaranteed Results!
 Here is our focus:

1.  We Begin With The Pain -
If the arm does not feel good you will not throw well.  You will not maximize velocity, and your control will suffer.  You will train less.  Arm Health is center of our universe.

2.  We Develop a World Class Mindset -  Without the right mindset nothing works.  Training with the intent to throw hard and move fast is a huge part of the equation.

3.  We Objectively Measure Everything -  Anything you measure - you can improve!  Our system provides a ton of objective feedback instead of subjective feedback.

4.  We focus on movement patterns NOT typical positions like "pause at the top"
Note - throwing a ball is movement so why the heck do people teach positions?
A huge mistake people think that practicing in static positions counts towards working on mechanics.  It's actually ruining mechanics.

5.  We don't believe in one mechanical model - We are style nuetral
Common sense says you can't teach everyone to throw a like!

6.   We believe velocity/command/arm health is one package and should be together.
When the arm is healthy it opens up doors of opportunity for velocity and command.

7.   Strength program is very specific to baseball and also to pitchers -   Not all strength is good strength for baseball.    Offensive linemen don't throw 90mph.    A long distance runner won't throw 90mph.

We focus on baseball specific strength.

8.   Classroom setting creates competition,motivation,learning,improvement.
The greatest piece of training equipment is who you are training with.   The competition.   While others put their lessons in a buble with private lessons, our guys compete with each other, and work along side  each other in the creation of power.    No private lesson could possible duplicate the power of our black belt program.

9.   Wake Up, Warm Up is unique to anything you have every seen.
For many the lack of a world class wake-up, warm up is exactly what is holding them back.   Our world class warm up is a staple in our training and crucial for performance.   Once again it's common sense.

10.   Mobility portion is baseball specific.  Nothing like being strong but lacking flexibility.   The greatest baseball players and specifically pitchers are loose and free, and have the mobility to create rotational power.

11.   Strategy includes teaching and reinforcing Effective Velocity Concepts by Perry Husband
Great pitchers can change speeds without changing speeds.

12.   Our environment is a culture of achievement.   Improving is a no brainer because our entire Academy is built on a culture of achievement.   The key is how much will you improve and how bad do you want it?

13.   We Train exclusively inside the ATP/CP System.  No poles. No long duration conditioning. We focus on short explosive burst of energy.   We train for our sport!   Once again baseball specific.

9MPH in 12 Months
"Charlie's velocity has improved about 9 M.P.H. over the past 12 months.
I was amazed over the last 2 weeks in November with the turn and burn drill,  Charlie recorded 83 M.P.H. three times and the next week he exploded to another high of 87 M.P.H.

Strengthening and conditioning the core has impressed us with the amount of progress Charlie has made in the Black Belt program over the past 4 years.

His body can handle the stress which gives him the confidence & command he needs to be a successful pitcher.   Coaches Mike & Steve have proven to be effective in teaching the correct mechanics and strengthening the body through muscle memory which we had seen in Charlie's video analysis.  I am convinced by Charlie's performance that this program is the key to his success.

From Not Making The Varsity Team To Throwing 90MPH in 14 Months!!

Finding Focus...
Mitch Baker, a tall lanky kid with a dream. Plays Little League, Travel Ball and moves onto his High School freshman and sophomore teams. He has an above average fastball, smooth delivery and told lots of potential... then fails to make his varsity team his junior year. New coach, politics, lack of focus might have sunk him, but he took it upon himself to get better. He had to find his focus.
2010 Mitch goes in 100% to the teachings at Fastball. While missing Spring ball he attends FB 2-3 times a week.

Summertime he attends 2 large Midwest showcases posting the 1st and 3rd highest MPH times out of hundreds of 2011 prospects. Offers from colleges start to come in. Contacts through your organization start to develop. Coaches come out to Fastball to see Mitch work out.
2010 -2011 Mitch continues to work out posting 94 mph turn and burn and 86-88 off the mound. Senior Year he goes undefeated. 2011 Mitchell signs a Scholarship to a local school with strong baseball program. He hits 90 mph off the mound.
Mitch had a strong fall and is slated to play varsity ball his freshman season.
We are indebted to your program and look forward to seeing you during holiday breaks...to keep the focus.
